The Struggle Is Real for Parents.

Have you ever stopped to think about the people who keep our communities running? That’s what Hometown Heroes is all about—celebrating the firefighters, doctors, teachers, and other everyday heroes who make our world better. For 4 weeks, we’re exploring the roles of community helpers AND helping your little ones imagine who they might want to be when they grow up. 

Through live, interactive sessions, we’re keeping it fun AND focused. This engaging curriculum combines math, literacy, and social studies with hands-on activities that make learning fun and memorable.

Your child will develop critical skills like recognizing shapes, writing complete sentences, decoding words, and reading sight words—plus, they’ll leave knowing how to spot the real heroes in their neighborhood.

ELA Goals: 

• Write complete sentences with punctuation.
• Decode simple words like "sit" and "leg".
• Recognize sight words to boost their reading fluency.

Math Goals: 

• Identify, name, and compare 2D and 3D shapes in their environment.
• Understand the difference between flat shapes like circles and solid shapes like spheres.

Social Studies:

• Learn about the roles of community helpers like firefighters, doctors, and teachers.
• Explain how these heroes contribute to their communities.
